Last fall we were lucky enough to be a part of Patrick and Rose’s crisp fall Pocono’s Wedding. The day was painted with the orange hues of the changing leaves, handmade paper flowers, and farmhouse style lanterns.
Rather than a traditional petal throw during the ceremony, the aisle was lined with preserved leaves. During the recessional the guest’s threw small amounts of the leaves from handmade cones, which made for the perfect fall photos.
We have a step by step tutorial on how to make these cones below! Remember although we used leaves, this would be perfect for a variety of items (confetti, petals, etc…)
DIY Cones

Step 1: Cut a 2 inch corner from the top left of the paper
Step 2: Bring the right hand corner to the left hand corner, making a sharp bottom point
Step 3: Align the cone by sliding the corners of the paper up and down.
Step 4: Seal the cone utilizing the double sided tape.
Step 5: (optional) Fold the bottom of the cone for a symmetrical look
Step 6: Fill!
