About Us

At Campbell Events we don’t just plan weddings, we craft experiences that feel like you from the inside out. We believe that your wedding should reflect who you are, not just what’s trending. Whether you’re a garden lover, looking for a white space, or somewhere in between, we’re here to help you tell your story with style and a ton of glitter.

What makes us different starts with how we show up for our couples. Planning a wedding can be overwhelming, but our goal is to bring a sense of calm and confidence to the process. Our team is known for being organized, detail-obsessed, and genuinely fun to work with. We’re not just timeline creators and floor plan pros, we are your trusted advocates. We know the questions to ask, the vendors to call, and the moments that matter most.

With over a decade of experience in the hospitality and event industry, our founder Carissa Campbell brings a unique blend of logistical skills and creative vision to each event. Having worked in both catering and venue management before launching Campbell Events, Carissa knows what’s happening behind the scenes, and that insider perspective means nothing gets missed.

We offer everything from full service planning to partial planning and wedding coordination, because we know every couple’s needs are different. But no matter how involved we are, we always approach your wedding with the same level of care and intention. We take the time to understand what matters most to you whether it’s your vibe, your values, your vision and then we bring it to life in a way that feels effortless, polished, and unmistakably yours.

Our design philosophy is all about layering: we use classic elements paired with bold choices, curated details balanced with special moments. We want your guests to walk into your wedding and say, “This is so them.” Whether that means an epic dance party, a handwritten vow moment, or a dreamy candlelit tablescape, we’re here to help you do it your way.

And while we love beautiful weddings, we care just as much about your experience along the way. From our first meeting to your final sendoff, we’re committed to being responsive, supportive, and present. Our couples often tell us they felt seen, heard, and taken care of, because that’s the heart of what we do. We don’t believe in cookie-cutter packages, we believe in real relationships, real trust, and creating something magical together.

At Campbell Events, we’re more than planners—we’re partners in celebration. We’re here for your big ideas, your “what ifs,” your Pinterest dreams and last-minute decisions. We’re here to make the process feel exciting, not exhausting. Most of all, we’re here to make sure your wedding feels like the best version of your love story.

Let’s DO THE DAMN THING.

Our History

Campbell Events began as a one-woman dream, a passion for driving Uhauls around the City, and a Spreadsheet full of ideas. After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America and spending years directing catering around New York and Vermont, Carissa Campbell realized her favorite part of every event wasn’t the set up or the event the food, it was the people. The stories, the connection, the quiet joy in the chaos. In 2015, she founded Campbell Events to bring a more personal, intentional approach to wedding planning, pairing high design with heart, and organization with ease.

From those early days designing intimate loft weddings in Brooklyn to producing full-scale celebrations in sprawling Hudson Valley estates, Campbell Events grew into a boutique planning studio known for its calm precision, inclusive values, and creative eye. What started as a local word-of-mouth business soon earned recognition across the wedding world, with features in Brides, Carats & Cake, Love Inc, Ruffled, Anti Bride, Eater, and even The New York Times, each spotlighting our commitment to creating celebrations that are both artful and deeply authentic.

Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of planning at some of the city’s most iconic venues including some of our favorites such as The Foundry, The Bordone, Brooklyn Botanic Garden, and The Central Park Boathouse, spanning to Greenpoint Loft and The River Cafe, and destination settings upstate like Cedar Lakes Estate and Gather Greene. Whether transforming a raw industrial space or a garden rooftop, our team has built a reputation for making every detail feel thoughtful, cohesive, and perfectly timed (with just the right amount of Champgne in hand).

Meet Carissa campbell

Founder & Creative Director of Campbell Events – New York Wedding Planner | Creative Director | Everyone’s Favorite Pink Haired Planner

Born and raised in New York, Carissa Campbell has always had an eye for connection, creativity, and a hell of a party.  As the Founder and Creative Director of Campbell Events, Carissa leads one of New York’s most trusted boutique wedding and event planning studios known for transforming raw spaces into colorful, cohesive celebrations that feel authentic and elevated.

Carissa believes every event should tell a story, not just through grand gestures, but through the small intentional details that bring people together. Whether it’s Branded Matchbooks, a colorful dance floor, or the shared laughter of a room full of friends, her goal is simple: to make each moment reflect you.

Her calm, grounded leadership style and energetic personality have earned her a reputation as both a creative visionary and a steady hand in the whirlwind of wedding planning. Clients often describe her as the person who “keeps everyone calm, keeps everything moving, and makes the room POP.”

Carissa’s journey began in hospitality. A proud graduate of The Culinary Institute of America, she learned early on that precision, timing, and creativity are what make the guest experience memorable.

Her early career spanned roles throughout Catering and Event Management in New York and Vermont. At each venue she learned the ins and outs of what works and what doesn’t when it comes to well crafted events.

It was during these years that Carissa discovered her true calling: creating events that feel as good as they look. Her culinary training gave her a sensory appreciation for pacing, atmosphere, and details which are the skills that continue to shape her work today.

The Birth of campbell events

In 2015, Carissa founded Campbell Events with one goal, to redefine what a truly personalized planning experience could look like. She wanted to merge artistry with organization, offering couples both creative design direction and top tier logistical work.

Since then, Campbell Events has become synonymous with elevated, heart-led celebrations throughout New York City, the Hudson Valley, Vermont, Oregon, and Washington. Carissa’s work has been featured in The New York Times, Brides, Catalyst, Carats & Cake, and Eater, and she’s collaborated with top venues throughout New York, New England, and the West Coast.

Carissa’s planning style is equal parts structured and soulful. She thrives at the intersection of creative design and flawless logistics—where visual storytelling meets real-world execution.

Each event begins with curiosity: who her clients are, what matters most to them, and how to bring their story to life with intention. Her spaces feel lived-in and layered warm, expressive, and grounded in authenticity.

As an out and proud Lesbian herself, Carissa creates inclusive, welcoming environments for all couples, ensuring every event reflects the people it celebrates.

Carissa is a born-and-raised New Yorker who knows the city like the back of her hand, from hidden loft venues in Brooklyn to the iconic rooftops of Manhattan. Her deep local knowledge and vendor relationships are the foundation of Campbell Events’ success.

When she’s not designing or coordinating an event, Carissa can usually be found exploring a new tiki bar, hunting for her famous purple couch, or planning her next trip. She’s an expressive design lover, a board-game enthusiast, and a die-hard Mets fan (win or lose… but unfortunately mostly losing).

Her home office team includes two beloved coworkers: Bagel, her spirited beagle, and Fru, her laid-back black cat both loyal companions who’ve witnessed countless timelines, mock-ups, and Zoom calls.

To Carissa, an event isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s about how it feels. It’s about creating space for connection, joy, and belonging. She believes that true hospitality lives in the details, and that the best events balance beauty with ease.

From intimate elopements to weekend-long celebrations, Carissa approaches each project with gratitude and artistry, ensuring that every couple feels seen, supported, and celebrated from day one.
