Taylor Swift’s Wedding
The world is a buzz with Taylor Swift wedding Mania and whether you think she is actually getting married at Madison Square or she will choose the Rose Garden instead… Campbell Events Owner and Lead Planner, Carissa Campbell, is going into the nitty gritty about what she would have planned for Taylor and Travis had they been (errrmm… a more Standard couple).
What are Carissa’s credentials you may ask? Well… even though she has been a business owner for 11 years, and in the industry for 15, her time as a certified Swiftie beats that out. You see, back in 2006 she was screaming Our Song at the top of her lungs, changing the lyrics to Stay Beautiful, and crying on her own guitar to Teardrops on My Guitar. Carissa watched every single Era’s Tour Show on livestream, and even attended two of the shows. So while weddings are always near and dear to her heart, this is the perfect mix of Worlds Colliding.
Pre Wedding Festivities
The Wedding Weekend would begin with a beach front party at Holiday House. We all know that Taylor loves hosting and equally loves Holiday House. It has inspired a lot of her work, including one of my Favorites The Last Great American Dynasty, which is all about throwing parties that ruin the neighborhood, so why not add one more? Picture Hydrangeas on the Tables, Passed Apps, a Mojito Bar (and just enough Mojitos to decide to dye the dog green), and an upscale BBQ inspired menu. Holiday House would set the scene for family arriving and everyone receiving their Marching orders for the weekend.
Holiday House would also hold an Intimate Family Ceremony. This would be where all of the legal documents take place like getting that marriage license signed, and having a small celebration with close family and childhood friends before the festivities really kick off.
Your Heartbeat on the High Line
The Standard Hotel on the Highline is absolutely iconic and has stunning views, perfect for Taylor and Travis’s guests to stay in. By Staying here her guests could have an up close and personal view to one of her famous lyrics from The 1. Since this moment is One in Twenty Lifetimes , we would ensure each room was decked out with a welcome kit, filled with the best of the best from The West Village.
Taylor Swift’s Wedding Day…
This Ain’t the Chelsea Hotel (oh wait, it is)
The Ceremony would be smaller and held at the Chelsea Hotel. While the Holiday House mini celebration would have been for people that knew them before the fame, this one would be for her core group of Celebrifriends. You know, we’re talking Ed, Haim Sisters, Gigi, Selena, but of course Abigail would be in attendance for all of the events.
In the Chelsea Hotel (if you know… you know), Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce would hold the ceremony, followed by an intimate Dinner where Taylor provided the Sourdough bread acting as a Part of the Centerpiece for each table. This intimate dinner is where Family and Friends will give Toasts including an Easter Egg filled speech from Taylor herself hinting at what is to come for the rest of the night.
At Dinner Travis would take her ring off her finger and put it on the one people put Wedding Rings on, and of course that will be the closest her heart will have come to exploding. In this space we would also have a Typewriter Guest book for guests to leave notes in the guest book and Poets to type a personalized note as the guests leave to the next spot.
Welcome to New York Taylor Swift
The Real Fun begins back at the Standard Hotel, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s guests will make their way down to the Boom Boom room where the vibe shifts from TTPD to 1989/Midnights vibes. The Boom Boom room will be Bejeweled in Mirror Balls, Starlight, and even have a surprise Martini Glass Dancer moment. All of her Showgirl Vibes would be out and proud for this event, while the Jazz band Plays and the Ice Luge flows, dripping with Caviar Dot cakes and Lobster Rolls as a nod to the Coast. Maybe we would add some Opalite inspired centerpieces and violet Elizabeth Taylor style jewles.
Lastly the night here will conclude with a Milk Bar cake (yeah the ones from 2015… she still adores those).
House of Yes
The night would end with a Big House of Yes buy out. Yes, THAT House of Yes in Bushwick. Taylor and Travis shocked the nation not long ago by stepping foot in Bushwick and making their way into Honeys Mead Bar (yes it IS like her song Honey). Many people theorized that this may have been the first time she had been in Bushwick, but now that she has seen how lively it is, I am sure it would be one of her favorite places.
House of Yes would be open to a star studded list of guests, and some family members may want to sit this one out… Think Diamond Nipple tassels like mentioned in the Bejeweled Music video, Experimental Stage Acts, and plenty of Dancing space for Travis, Ross, and Taylor to make a showstopping moment. House of Yes Screams the themes in ME! music video and would be the perfect place to end the evening.
At the end of the night everyone would head home with Goody bags from Gotham so that they could keep the Lavender Haze alive.
What about Wedding Photos?
I am sure we could add some Cornelia Street Photo ops, a Big Sur honeymoon, or an Oheka Castle trash the dress shoot, but I have to cut this off somewhere…
Obviously, this entire dream would be very difficult at her level of fame because of security and all that. While there is speculation about whether or not the Garden is a Decoy, it may make sense from a security perspective. Madison Square Garden would be large enough to hold her guest count and keep the level of Privacy that would be difficult at a multi venue itinerary like the examples I gave above.
Either way, as an OG Swiftie, I honestly don’t care if she is truly getting married at MSG or really truly getting married at all… with all the clues back to the Bejeweled Music Video she could be opening a Record Label and having a giant debut for it…
That’s the thing with Taylor Swift, you never know what she has up her sleeve, especially when she likes to hint at clues three years in advance.
